Street Chess



Chess and Checker table set up in Chicago (as indicated by a reader of this blog) and not New York as I initially posted. If they’re playing for food money, it’s no joke, and it's almost sure you are going to loose.

As a curiosity, also Humphrey Bogart, in 1929, after the stock market crash, he hustled chess players for quarters of dolar in New York City parks and for dimes against all comers at Coney Island.
