The church and main café bar in Saint Cyr sur Menton, last weekend. With around 1345 inhabitants, it is located between Macon (12 kms) and Bourg en Bresse (24 kms) served by national route Nº79.




A typical and traditional musical group composed by Saint Cyr sur Menton locals, acting for the wedding guests. A nice surprise.

Southwest of Serra da Estrela is one of the country's most picturesque rural villages, the striking village of PIODÃO. Once remote, tourism has brought it back to life. The houses have been restored, with their dark stone contrasting wonderfully with the bright white parish church (photo Summer 2003).

Places - Magoito

Magoito Beach - My weekend place for the last 20 years, when weather permits, close to Sintra. Along the coast of Sintra, from São Julião in the north to Cape Roca in the south, are countless beaches with soft golden sand bathed by the Atlantic. The best known are undoubtedly Samarra, Magoito, Azenhas do Mar, Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga.
